So, TG and I are hopping off into the Skies and heading out to the city of beads.
That’s right, we are headed off to New Orleans for almost Mardi Gras. And, no, despite the title of this blog post, I won’t be showin’ my 38 longs and collecting beads.
We are going for the food, fun, [...]

First post of 2010; let’s do it up right.

I really need to get my butt in gear and take some pics of my knits in progress as there are a few noteworthy projects on the needles right now. But, honestly, it is so dark by the time that I get home that I just can’t seem to bring myself to take any photos.

I have a sore throat. So, I thought the right thing to do would be to get in a blog post before the thing that is to be a head cold takes over my body and I am no longer able to make sense at all.

On Completion

I finished the Mushroom sweater on October 22, 2009. I don’t know why I haven’t blogged about it sooner.

Would you like to see what I have been doing?
I knit me some Monkeys out of Wollmeise 100% sockenwolle in Terra di Sienna.
I started a couple of Kitty Pi’s
And I worked on the [...]

Success! Two socks, knit on the same needle; finished at the same time!
Pattern: My own 64 stitch ribbed socks (this time with a slightly larger gusset to accomodate recipients higher instep)
Yarn: Arucania Ranco in orangish color (Ravelry lists this as a sport weight. It is so not.)
Needles: US 1 (2.25mm)
More details here.
In other news, I [...]

This may well be my last post before Sock Summit. So, without further ado, here are the finished Eunice Socks.
All the details here.
I still say they look like tree bark socks.
There is still time to vote on the next pair of socks in the Cookie A. KAL. So, go vote, damnit!
Check out the progress I [...]

The Marlene Socks are finished. Digging these.
I made these exactly as the pattern called for, using sport weight yarn. I know there are a lot of you out there that have made these in fingering weight. I don’t get it. How could it even be possible that they would go over a human sized calf [...]

Hey, remember the Clapotis that I posted about back at the beginning of May? Well, I am finally at the dropping stitches part. I had forgotten how liberating dropping stitches can be.
I really didn’t like Manos at first. I kind of felt like it was the uglier cousin of Malabrigo. Sort of the black sheep [...]
