Still feeling a bit under the weather, but not so much that I haven’t managed to spend some time working on old UFO’s.
Remember the Enemoi Mittens that I cast on for a year ago? I finally finished one. What stalled me was a mistake that I had made in the pattern during the decrease rows. A little help from a friend and I was able to pick back a few rows and get back on track.

I cast on for the second mitt last night. Maybe these will be finished by the time it snows.
I also started on a pair of mitts for a work retreat later this week. We got the agenda yesterday afternoon and it looks like all of the afternoon sessions will be outside. So, I figured I would need a functional pair of flip-top mitts to keep me warm.

There is something about the leaves falling off the trees and the chill in the air that made me almost excited that winter is coming. This is certainly a new feeling for me. I don’t recall ever feeling this way about fall before. In fact, the mere thought of fall used to send me practically into convusions. Not anymore.
Perhaps it has to do with all the knitted (and very warm!) garments that have been hibernating in my closet all summer. Bring it on winter. This year, I am prepared.
