Since it opened a couple of years ago, my LYS has hosted a retreat in November at Emerald Lake, British Columbia and I have been fortunate enough to be able to attend every year thus far. However, I didn’t go to either retreat alone. Last year, I found out that I was pregnant a few days before the retreat, and this year, of course, I had to take Monkey with me as I am still nursing. But, despite not being able to enjoy a few of the more recreational parts of the weekend (drinking, hot tubbing, staying up late and knitting around the fire) I still had a blast both years and am looking immensely forward to next year when I can go all by myself!
